Dr. Bruce Goldberger is an internationally recognized forensic toxicologist, educator, and author whose career has been dedicated to advancing analytical and forensic toxicology. He recently retired as Professor of Pathology, Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Goldberger has made significant contributions to the science and practice of forensic toxicology. His research has led to numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and invited presentations, and his work has influenced medicolegal death investigation, drug monitoring and surveillance, public policy, and scientific standards. Dr. Goldberger is the past president of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the American Board of Forensic Toxicology, and the Society of Forensic Toxicologists, and is Emeritus Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Analytical Toxicology.

Dr. Rebecca L. Hartman is the Chief Toxicologist and laboratory director of the Monroe County Office of the Medical Examiner (MCOME) Toxicology Laboratory in Rochester, NY, USA, performing postmortem, driving under the influence, and drug-facilitated crimes casework. She also serves as faculty for the University of Rochester Forensic Pathology Fellowship Program (administered through MCOME), training forensic pathology fellows on toxicology and drug interpretation. Her research interests include drugs and driving, as well as developing tools to facilitate success for laboratories with limited funding. In addition to her work with Baselt, Dr. Hartman is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Analytical Toxicology, a TIAFT Bulletin Editor, and also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Forensic Sciences. She is a member and current Vice Chair of the SOFT/AAFS Drugs and Driving Committee, and previously served as Editor and Co-Chair of the TIAFT Communications Committee.
