Cautionary and advisory labels
At the end of 2025, the explanatory notes for two of our cautionary and advisory labels were updated. Information highlighting the risk of co-sleeping when taking medicines that may cause drowsiness were added to the notes for label 2 ‘Warning: This medicine may make you sleepy. If this happens, do not drive or use tools or machines. Do not drink alcohol’. Additionally, user feedback identified some confusion around the interpretation of dose timing for medicines requiring label 23 ‘Take this medicine when your stomach is empty. This means an hour before food or 2 hours after food.’ Therefore, extra clarification has been added to the notes for the label: patients should be advised that food must be avoided for 2 hours before and an hour after taking each dose.
