Pharmaceutical Press has just made it easier to access trusted evidence-based pharmaceutical information

Pharmaceutical Press announce its new brand strategy, focused on helping health professionals support the safe and effective use of medicines, delivered via the launch of its new website PharmaceuticalPress.com.

Everything we do at Pharmaceutical Press is centred on helping health professionals support the safe and effective use of medicines.

Today we are excited to announce our new brand strategy and the launch of PharmaceuticalPress.com, which will enable us to better deliver this.   For the first time health professionals can explore all our knowledge products, services, and resources in one place.

Our new branding will:

  • Reflect our status as the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s knowledge business, supporting the RPS to achieve its vision to be the world leader in the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Be applied to all our essential knowledge, making it easier for time-pressured professionals to recognise the products and services most valuable to them, and that they are created by Pharmaceutical Press.
  • Clarify that we are a not-for-profit organisation, and that our resources are invested into creating trusted evidence-based knowledge to promote best practice in medicines use.

The new branding establishes the four core components of Pharmaceutical Press knowledge:  MedicinesComplete providing instant access to trusted knowledge online, Pharmaceutical Journal, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s official journal, Pharmacy Knowledge, knowledge and revision for tomorrow’s pharmacists, and Research Journals, high impact research in pharmaceutical sciences, published in partnership with Oxford University Press.

The core components are each represented with its own unique mark, which when bought together form the organisation’s new shield icon, emulating the RPS coat of arms and further enforcing the relationship between the two brands.

Referred to daily across healthcare, academic and research settings and relied on by many commercial organisations to operate their businesses, our essential knowledge includes British National Formulary, published in partnership with BMJ, Stockley’s Drug Interactions, Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference and Pharmaceutical Journal, which since 1841 has continued to connect pharmacists and inform the profession.

MD Pharmaceutical Press and Deputy CEO Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Karen Baxter, said “Everything we do at Pharmaceutical Press complements the work of the RPS and is centred on helping health professionals improve patient safety. Launching our brand strategy will enable us to grow stronger relationships across our organisation and with our customers, making it easier for them to access our trusted evidence-based knowledge”.

Chief Executive at Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Paul Bennett, said “As the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s knowledge business since the 1840s, Pharmaceutical Press, has grown to include some of the world’s most respected and trusted knowledge products about medicines.   Our new branding will bring clarity to the publishing portfolio, and its place within the RPS, making it easier for health professionals to access our essential knowledge in support of patient safety”.
